Botanical name - Trewia nudiflora
Description - Deciduous trees with grey or yellowish-brown bark, exfoliating in thin flakes. Leaves opposite, 3-ribbed from base, broadly ovate, cordate at base. Flowers greenish-white.
Chemical_Constituents- Plant contains lupeol. Bark contains taraxerone, Beta-sitosterol , nudiflorine. Seeds contain trewiasine, dehydrotrewiasine, demethyltrewiasine
Uses - Poultice of roots applied in gout and rheumatism.
