Uses - Leaves used as a galactogogue; their poultice applied to swellings and buboes. Roots given in dysentery. Decoction of bark used in fevers, diarrhoea and dysentery. Latex astringent and antiseptic, applied to sore heals, chapped hands and glandular swellings; also applied to temples as a sedative in neuralgia. Seeds used in epistaxis, piles and diarrhoea; externally, paste applied to leucoderma.
