Botanical name - Pistia stratiotes
Description - Aquatic free floating stoloniferous herbs. Leaves obovate, densely white pubescent beneath. Spathe oblong. Flowers minute, sessile, on a spadix. Fruit ellipsoid-oblong, green.
 Chemical_Constituents- Plant contains vicenin, lucenin, cyanidin-3- glucoside, vitamins A, B, and C.
Uses - Juice of leaves boiled in coconut oil and applied externally in chronic skin diseases.
