Botanical name - Emblica officinalis
Description -
This consists of the ripe fruits of Emblica officinalis Gaertn. of the family Euphorbiaceae.
Chemical_Constituents-
It contains tannin, pectin and ascorbic acid.
Uses -
Fruit is refrigerent, diuretic and laxative. In combination with iron, it is used in aneamia and jaundice. It is also anti-scorbutic.
