Chemical Constituents-
Plant yields essential oil. Young shoots and leaves contain carotenoids, B-carotene, xanthophyll and traces of taraxanthin, hentriacontane, sitosterol, sitosterol glucoside. Leaves contain vitamin E.
Use -
Juice used as emetic in opium and arsenic poisoning. Plant useful for women suffering from nervous and general debility-- Laxative or purgative
